Strong Assays at Palmer Project Pave Way for Vizsla Copper’s Q1 2027 Resource Update
Assays from the 2026 infill drill program reveal massive silver-zinc intercepts, setting up an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for early 2027.

Mother Nature may take millions of years to build a volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit, but Vizsla Copper Corp. (TSXV: VCU / OTCQB: VCUFF) is making fast work of defining one. Fresh assay results from the company’s AG Deposit at the Palmer Project in Southeast Alaska demonstrate that high-grade silver and zinc mineralization remain alive, well, and continuous right through the core of the asset.
Leading the charge in the latest release is drill hole CMR26-215, which sliced through an impressive 21.2 meters grading 307.5 grams per tonne silver equivalent (or 9.67% zinc equivalent) starting from 180.3 meters downhole. The hole contained a sweet spot of 7.2 meters running 438.0 g/t silver equivalent, along with a high-grade zinc-rich section that returned 1.2 meters at an eye-popping 23.58% zinc. Not to be outdone on width, drill hole CMR26-211 demonstrated broad mineralization nearby, pulling 37.2 meters grading 177.7 g/t silver equivalent, including a 12.8-meter zone running 7.79% zinc.
These results wrap up a targeted three-hole infill campaign at the AG Deposit, representing the first drilling conducted at the zone since 2019. The program specifically targeted an undrilled window sandwiched between two lateral, metal-rich zones known as the JAG and Nunatak panels. Combined with previously reported assays from hole CMR26-213, which delivered 30.6 meters of 209.2 g/t silver equivalent, the company has completed a clean sweep of high-grade intersections through the central portion of the deposit.
The timing of these hits sets up a clear runway for corporate growth. Vizsla Copper Corp. (TSXV: VCU) Chair and Chief Executive Officer Craig Parry noted that the complete dataset gives management a far sharper geological lens with which to refine the deposit model. Senior Vice President of Alaska operations Peter Mercer confirmed that while high-elevation mountain drilling has concluded for the year, exploration at lower-elevation targets continues, and all new data will feed directly into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027.
The AG Deposit currently holds an inferred resource of 5.35 million tonnes grading 110.6 g/t silver, 3.88% zinc, 0.80% lead, 0.15% copper, and 0.41 g/t gold, alongside substantial barite content. Backed by resource-focused investment group Inventa Capital Corp., Vizsla Copper Corp. (TSXV: VCU / OTCQB: VCUFF) is systematically turning historical data gaps into updated resource ounces across its Alaskan and British Columbian portfolio.
