Mining Industry Veteran Michael Williams Appointed Executive Chairman of Canadian Uranium
30-year junior mining veteran Michael Williams, with a $138M Kinross buyout on his resume, takes the helm to steer Canadian Uranium through the nuclear energy revival.

When a junior resource issuer secures a chairman whose portfolio includes steering a startup through to a $138 million buyout, the market tends to pay close attention.
Steering directly into the burgeoning nuclear energy tide, Canadian Uranium Corp. (CSE: CANU / OTCQB: CANUF) has officially appointed mining industry veteran Michael Williams as Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective immediately. The strategic leadership elevation brings three decades of junior mining dealmaking, market capitalization expansion, and international capital arrangement to the forefront of the company’s corporate vision.
Williams enters the Executive Chair role with an established track record of building publicly traded resource vehicles from early-stage exploration through to major commercial exits. He currently serves as co-founder and Executive Chairman of Vortex Metals Inc. (TSXV: VMS / OTC: VMSSF), alongside his position as founder and Executive Chairman of Aftermath Silver Ltd. (TSXV: AAG / OTCQX: AAGFF), an enterprise commanding a market valuation exceeding C$250 million. His corporate resume also includes serving as Executive Chairman of Underworld Resources Ltd. (TSX: UW / OTC: UWLDF), where he spearheaded organizational growth through to its acquisition by gold mining major Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX: K / NYSE: K) in 2010 for approximately $138 million. Beyond boardroom governance, Williams brings a deeply cultivated global network bridging retail investors and institutional banking powerhouses, a pipeline critical for securing project development funding across international mining jurisdictions.
