MAX Power Hits Record Hydrogen Readings at Lawson 4 in Saskatchewan
Deep crustal conduits, record-breaking gas readings, and a 30-km step-out set the stage for Canada's emerging primary hydrogen frontier.

Just when Saskatchewan’s traditional energy playbook thought it had seen everything, MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX / OTC: MAXXF) keeps expanding the subsurface envelope.
Fresh off completing its Lawson 4 commercial validation well in south-central Saskatchewan, the explorer logged its highest natural hydrogen concentrations to date while unlocking structural data that could redefine how North America views primary clean energy extraction.
Drilled to a total measured depth of 2,400 meters, Lawson 4 intersected a highly porous 20.5-meter interval within the basal Cambrian Sandstone between 2,290 and 2,310.5 meters depth, achieving 96.6% core recovery alongside record-breaking hydrogen detection levels. Positioned immediately beneath this sandstone unit sits a sub-vertical deep crustal conduit that transitions directly into an additional 30.9 meters of prospective mafic-ultramafic basement source rocks. This combined 51.4-meter cored section yielded 98% overall recovery, while shallower drilling in the Interlake Formation also confirmed high-value helium-dominant zones.
