Legal cannabis sales will reach record numbers this year

Political polarization is ruining Thanksgiving family dinner, even though last year's cannabis-infused sauce trick was a cure whose creators promised the holiday mood would wash over drinkers in just under 15 minutes. But we're way beyond a cannabis infused sauce now. On this year's Green Wednesday, held the day before Thanksgiving, the legal weed industry offered discounts across the board. The result? A huge increase in sales for companies in this industry of up to 350%. It is possible that you have never heard of Green Wednesday. But it's been around for seven years, and its success was predicted by research firm Headset, which tracks weed sales. The company's latest report, released just before the holiday, said this Thanksgiving festival will be different from any other that has come before. "With millions of Americans being asked to stay home for the holidays, frankly, what else is there to do?" Jane Technologies, an online cannabis marketplace, saw online sales increase 241% this Green Wednesday compared to last year. Online sales also increased an average of 271% compared to last year. Last year sales on Green Wednesday were 40% higher than the average sales on the previous four Wednesdays. Thanksgiving isn't the only holiday cannabis companies look forward to, however. The holidays in general are developing into a perfect opportunity for cannabis relaxation and unwind. "Before the holidays, a lot of people turn to cannabis to relax, feel generally good, and to develop a sense of togetherness. Every 2020 holiday has attracted a record number of online cannabis sales," said Socrates Rosenfeld, Founder and CEO of Jane Technologies, opposite Forbes. Green Entrepreneur said companies sold $ 400 million worth of cannabis products in the week leading up to July 4th, up 60% from the weekly average.
