Did Brixton Metals Just Drill the Highest-Grade Silver Intercept Reported Globally This Year?

Forget standard drill updates, Brixton Metals Corporation (TSXV: BBB | OTCQX: BBBXF) just reported what ranks among the most eye-popping silver intercepts globally. Drilling into an unmined virgin area at its wholly owned Langis Silver Project, the Vancouver-based explorer uncovered ultra-high-grade silver that firmly re-establishes Ontario's historic Cobalt mining camp in the spotlight of modern mineral exploration.

The star of the update is drill hole LM-26-377, which returned a massive 20.00 meters grading 5,015.16 g/t silver starting at a depth of 165.00 meters. Nestled inside that broad mineralized interval were several bonanza-grade sub-intervals, including 14.00 meters at 7,150.40 g/t silver, 1.15 meters at 74,136.74 g/t silver, and a standout 0.65-meter core length grading 89,125.00 g/t silver.

According to Gary R. Thompson, Chairman and CEO of Brixton Metals Corporation (TSXV: BBB | OTCQX: BBBXF), public records suggest hole 377 stands as one of the highest reported silver intercepts in the world. Core photographs from the drill program show abundant native silver glistening across the split NQ core samples.

What elevates this discovery beyond a simple drill highlight is its location. The Shaft 6 Southeast (S6-SE) area is a genuine brownfield discovery zone with no known historic underground workings or stopes. While the broader Cobalt mining camp historically produced over 445 million ounces of silver, modern explorers often face the challenge of drilling around remnant historical workings. S6-SE offers a completely virgin mineralized trend.

Hole 377 sits roughly 140 meters east of previously reported hole LM-26-290, which itself yielded an impressive 11.35 meters grading 4,560 g/t silver. Mineralization in the S6-SE zone has now been delineated over a strike length of at least 100 meters and remains open along strike, down-plunge, and laterally.

Geologically, the Langis property continues to reveal encouraging structural features. While high-grade narrow veins have historically characterized the camp, Brixton Metals Corporation (TSXV: BBB | OTCQX: BBBXF) is identifying both high-grade veins and surrounding disseminated native silver hosted along the unconformity between Keewatin Basalts and Huronian Sediments. Disseminated mineralization provides critical bulk-tonnage potential that extends well beyond individual vein structures.

The discovery forms part of the company's largest drilling campaign at Langis to date, with 24,016.90 meters completed across 105 drill holes this year. Additional solid hits from the S6-SE area include hole LM-26-353, which returned 13.00 meters of 287.80 g/t silver (including 0.55 meters of 4,320.00 g/t silver), and hole LM-26-352, intersecting 7.00 meters of 275.00 g/t silver (including 0.50 meters of 2,620.00 g/t silver). Step-out drilling is currently underway between holes 377 and 290 to test structural continuity across the Shaft 6 complex.

In tandem with hard-rock exploration, the explorer is advancing toward a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate on the historic mine tailings at Langis. Drill crews have completed 261.35 meters of specialized drilling on the tailings, with core samples shipped for assaying and metallurgical testing.

Beyond the Langis project, the company holds a diversified portfolio of North American assets. These include the Thorn copper-gold-silver-molybdenum project in British Columbia, the Hog Heaven copper-gold-silver project in Montana optioned to Ivanhoe Electric Inc. (TSX: IE, NYSE American: IE), and the Atlin Goldfields project in BC optioned to Eldorado Gold Corporation (TSX: ELD | NYSE: EGO).

All assay samples from the 2026 Langis campaign were prepared at the ALS Minerals facility in Sudbury, Ontario, and analyzed at ALS Laboratory Facilities in North Vancouver, British Columbia, under rigid quality assurance protocols supervised by Qualified Person Martin Ethier, P.Geo.
