Mastercard Inc. (NYSE: MA) and Samsung Electronics have signed a memorandum of understanding that allows the two companies to work together to develop a new biometric card. The company's efforts will improve the user experience, with the card utilizing a built-in fingerprint sensor to simplify in-store transactions. According to the two companies, the authorization of transactions will be done much faster. The new business collaboration uses Samsung's new security chipset from System LSI Business to develop the competitive card that enhances the user experience. Samsung sees the integration of the "important discrete chips" as an ideal way to increase efficiency. The vice president of Samsung Electronics, Harry Cho, commented on the latest development and said that the channel in top solutions in the deal. According to Cho, Samsung has a robust background in providing security solutions in wide-ranging applications such as mobile devices, credit cards, and passports. The official reveals the new plan that they will work with Mastercard and Samsung Card, which will allow them to create a better environment for consumers. In other words, product consumers are entering a future in which they will be able to use the payment card services with greater ease and peace of mind. All Mastercard in-store payment terminals will accept the new card, which means greater flexibility for card users. The companies say they will do everything in their power to provide a premium experience for users. Users won't have to endure the stress of entering Pins or signature authorizations on transactions, something that companies believe will impress users. The two companies confirm that they will unveil their biometric pilot card later this year and that they will have their preferred location in South Korea. They also confirmed that the solution will be rolled out gradually. Companies plan to start revealing corporate credit cards. According to them, such cards facilitate more frequent international transactions. Credit card chip and SIM card developer Gemalto is the other company focused on improving the customer experience. One of the most important steps was the introduction of a contactless credit card with a fingerprint reader.
