Have you ever heard of Wealthsimple?
While you may have heard of RobinHood before… have you ever heard of WealthSimple?

Wealthsimple is essentially the “Canadian equivalent” to Robinhood in the way that the platform is geared towards millenial investors and charges **ZERO TRADING COMMISSIONS** on thousands of different Canadian Stocks, Mutual Funds, ETF’s, and more. Wealthsimple was originally known for its robo-advisor service, ‘Wealthsimple Invest’, which is a “set-it-and-forget-it” portfolio of low-fee exchange-traded funds (ETF’s). Wealthsimple also has a self-directed trading platform called **Wealthsimple Trade**… and it’s a little different. Wealthsimple Trade is Canada's only $0 commission stock trading app. They advertise it as “a simpler way to trade,” and it’s hard to argue with that. Wealthsimple Trade is only accessible with a mobile app. You can only open a handful of account types. You can trade stocks, ETF’s, Mutual Funds, and even Cryptocurrencies. Wealthsimple Trade doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of most self-directed investing platforms. There’s no market research, data tracking tools are rudimentary, and even **their stock quotes have a 15 minute delay**. On the other hand, it also charges no commission fees, no withdrawal fees, and no inactivity or maintenance fees. [\](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbJXYtqMuLwd0S7pi\_QGGzw)
