Uber Drivers not happy with company´s email communication
The ride share company had emailed its drivers in regards to health insurance, but later revoked the offer.

While it's true that Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER) apologized for its recent erroneous email, most drivers and delivery workers don't seem to be taking it well. The company sent out an email to these parties raising hopes for health coverage. Uber had been fairly clear about paying health insurance costs. However, the company revoked the offer, stating that the email was intended to reach a select group in California. The arguments between the company and its drivers continue to attract attention around the world. The company has pushed over the years for its drivers to be classified as independent workers, which they disagree with considering the company continues to control most activities, including bookings. There have been cases where the drivers sued the company in court for the benefits the permanent employees were entitled to. The other argument involved a blind lady who complained about abuse by the company. The lady had a pet dog that she used as a guide dog. She complained about discrimination and took Uber to court. The most recent incident affected a political science professor named Edward Burmila, who lives in Raleigh, NC. He reveals how he spends his free time driving Uber and is rather unhappy about the cancellation of the offer. He says, "I may be an atypical Uber driver - I have a PhD so I tend to think of these things in a political context - but it's part of the ridiculous song and dance that ride sharing companies keep repeating perform to uphold the fiction that their workers are not employees or workers. " He thinks Uber is pretty insensitive and outlines that it only does things under duress.
