PAO Group expands its research into cannabis treatments

PAO Group (OTC Pink: PAOG) announced today that the company will expand its research into pharmaceutical cannabis treatment beyond its current focus on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). On July 30, 2020, PAOG acquired RespRx from Kali-Extracts, Inc. (OTC Pink: KALY). RespRx is a cannabis treatment in development for COPD that is derived from a patented cannabis extraction method - U.S. Patent No. 9,199,960 entitled "METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING HERBACEOUS PLANT MATERIALS INCLUSIVE THE CANNABIS PLANT" - is derived. In an initial scientific evaluation as a treatment for COPD, RespRx has shown that it has an impact on significant increases in respiratory rate, tidal volume and inspiratory air flow rate. Overall data from the evaluation showed that RespRx can significantly improve inspiratory lung function in cases of moderate pulmonary fibrosis. With RespRx in-house, PAOG has hired several new experts from both university and commercial medical research to evaluate the RespRx formula, formulation process, and test results. The expert review reviewed RespRx in conjunction with other publicly available research on cannabis treatment. Two studies in particular, both of which highlight the research behind GW Pharmaceuticals' cannabinoid treatments, shed light on the broader capabilities of PAOG emerging from RespRx, the process used to derive RespRx, and the clinical trials behind RespRx to date. One of the two studies focuses on CBD and the other on THC. Research seems to suggest that CBD has an impact on both hyperimmune responses that could lead to conditions like a cytokine storm that affects many COVID-19 patients, and a positive stimulation of the immune responses that fight bad cells. The THC report seems to confirm its ability to relieve pain, but it also shows that the immune response can be manipulated to include anti-inflammatory responses and stimulating immune responses to fight bad cells. In summary, the existing publicly available cannabis treatment research further supports the research behind RespRx, while at the same time, publicly available research sheds light on the expanded potential of PAOG's overall RespRx technology. The growing body of cannabis research provides compelling evidence of how specific cannabinoids can beneficially influence specific immune responses. The research behind RespRx shows how the process of obtaining RespRx can be manipulated to target specific cannabinoid extractions. Therefore, as advancing cannabis research provides further evidence of how specific cannabinoids beneficially affect specific immune responses, the PAOG is optimistic that it can use its entire cannabis extraction process to effectively extract formals with high concentrations of the target cannabinoids. Hence, the PAOG sees a broader future for cannabis treatment development beyond COPD. In conjunction with PAOG's acquisition of RespRx, the company also recently acquired a hemp grow operation from Puration, Inc. (OTC Pink: PURA) to develop a proprietary strain that will support PAOG's goals in the pharmaceutical treatment of cannabis. Last week, PAOG announced plans with PURA to expand PAOG's hemp growing business to develop a proprietary cannabis strain. PAOG and PURA work together as part of PURA's Farmersville Brands initiative. PAOG's Farmersville strain development facility will include a laboratory and an environmentally controlled indoor growing facility. PAOG is working with the current strains to develop and produce an ideal full-spectrum, high-yielding CBD plant to aid the ongoing development of RespRx and fuel future pharmaceutical CBD developments. PAOG is exploring ways to participate in university research in partnership with their cannabis strain development initiative. PURA recently announced a year-long initiative to transform PURA from a CBD sports beverage maker into a hemp conglomerate built on a lifestyle brand with a broad CBD consumer product reach and a leading industrial hemp growing initiative.
