Rockwell and Microsoft will expand cooperation
The two companies are looking to work together on their technical transformation.

To give manufacturers the flexibility, intelligence and scale to implement digital transformation initiatives - from the cloud to the edge - Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) and Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) announced a five-year expansion of the Partnership. "This partnership provides Rockwell Automation and Microsoft customers with a holistic, simple solution to IIoT development and operations and removes data silos that hamper industrial digital transformation initiatives," said Blake Moret, chairman and CEO of Rockwell Automation. "By removing a key barrier to automation initiatives, industrial companies are creating a digital thread that connects the entire company, which in turn accelerates innovation, maximizes productivity and streamlines operations. Enterprises can now access Rockwell Automation solutions through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, with additional solutions currently under development. The next phase of the co-innovation solutions will be available to the joint customers of Rockwell Automation and Microsoft customers in the first quarter of 2021 at the Automation Fair At Home.
