New 3D Geophysics Highlights Substantial IOCG System Footprint for Super Copper
New 3D magnetic vector inversion modelling unveils massive, steeply dipping IOCG targets beneath surface hits of up to 17.7% copper and 53.8 g/t gold at the Castilla Project in Chile.

Peeling back the geological layers of Chile’s mineral-rich Atacama Region often requires looking well beyond surface outcrop.
Regular JuniorStocks readers will recall our previous coverage of Super Copper Corp. (CSE: CUPR | OTCQB: CUPPF) as they systematically mapped high-grade surface copper and gold across their flagship Castilla Project.
Now, the company has provided a compelling reason to look deeper, releasing three-dimensional magnetic modelling that reveals massive targets lurking directly beneath those surface hits.
The fresh 3D geophysical interpretation reveals major, steeply dipping subterranean anomalies extending between 400 and 800 metres below the surface, with select magnetic signatures stretching all the way down to the inversion model's 2,500-metre basement.
Crucially, these kilometre-scale structures sit directly below rock samples that previously yielded impressive surface grades of up to 17.7% copper and 53.8 g/t gold. Out of 95 surface samples gathered during earlier field programs, 22 returned gold grades exceeding 1.0 g/t, forming tight clusters directly over these freshly mapped underground targets.
Geologically, the data paints a textbook picture. The contrast between quiet magnetic signatures near the surface and intense, tabular magnetic bodies beneath closely mimics the upper levels of an Iron Oxide Copper-Gold (IOCG) system, the exact geological architecture behind several of Chile’s largest producing copper and gold mines.
To build the 3D model, geophysical survey contractor Geodatos initially flew a high-resolution drone magnetic survey over an eight-by-nine-kilometre area. The resulting dataset was then processed by APEX Geoscience Ltd. using Magnetic Vector Inversion. Unlike conventional mapping, this method isolates remnant fossil magnetism locked into magnetite long ago, pinpointing the potential magnetite-rich cores typical of major IOCG deposits.
"This is our first real look deep beneath the surface at Castilla, and it shows exactly what our model predicts: large, untested bodies at depth sitting directly below the best copper and gold samples we have collected at surface," said Zachary Dolesky, CEO of Super Copper Corp. "Our follow-up program is designed to turn these results into ranked drill targets quickly and cost-effectively."
With scientific review provided by independent Qualified Person Michael Dufresne of APEX Geoscience Ltd., the company is preparing its next exploration phase. To refine these structural features into concrete drill targets, the exploration team is mobilizing an induced polarization survey to pinpoint high-chargeability sulphide zones. This work will run alongside structural fault mapping, rock property measurements, and high-resolution satellite alteration data previously compiled by PhotoSat. Assay data from the surface programs was analyzed by ALS Global Laboratories.
