Heritage Cannabis granted export license for Brazil
The Health Canada license makes the company the first to export medical cannabis to Brazil.

Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp. (CSE: CANN) (OTCQX: HERTF) ("Heritage" or the "Company") announced today that Health Canada has granted Heritage the first license to export cannabis products from Canada to Brazil. In December 2020, Heritage entered into an arrangement (the "Arrangement") with CannaBR Exports Corp. ("CannaBR"), a Brazil-focused CBD pharmaceutical product import and distribution company, for the distribution and bulk sale of formulated CBD products in the Brazilian cannabis market. The arrangement provides for minimum order quantities agreed by both parties to be delivered to CannaBR's large distribution network in Brazil, with the option of entering into long-term distribution agreements. Heritage has partnered with CannaBR to seek and obtain approval from the Brazilian Health Authority (ANVISA) to distribute and sell various formulated CBD products in Brazil and is currently in an advanced stage of product testing to meet the requirements of the Meet ANVISA. Through the partnership in Brazil, CannaBR already has an import license, and since Heritage has obtained the export license from Health Canada, shipping of CBD products will begin within a week to meet ANVISA requirements. Once all the necessary testing requirements have been met, the company will begin final negotiations to enter into a long-term distribution agreement with minimum order quantities. "We are delighted to be the first cannabis company in Canada to receive an export license to Brazil from Health Canada," said Clint Sharples, CEO of Heritage. "Our work with CannaBR is the company's second expansion beyond the Canadian and US markets, and as the Brazilian market is expected to grow dynamically over the next five to seven years, we are poised to take advantage of the many opportunities in the premium Use CBD products.
