Golden Predator invests in mining services companies
The gold miner takes over 20% of the American company Group 11 Technologies Inc.

Golden Predator Mining Corp. \[GPY-TSXV; NTGSF-OTCQX\] said on Wednesday, September 2, that it has acquired a 20% stake in Group 11 Technologies Inc., a privately held US company dedicated to the testing and implementation of non-invasive in situ recovery ( ISR) of precious metals using environmentally friendly solutions.
In situ mining is a non-invasive extraction method that changed the uranium industry. ISR involves circulating dilute water-based solutions underground, dissolving the target metals, and returning them to the surface for further processing and recovery of the target metals.
The ISR is considered to be environmentally friendly as it does not require open pits, underground tunnels, landfill systems or landfills. There are also no harmful chemicals released on the surface. "It therefore has the potential to be a low-onerous mining method with a low cost of capital," Golden Predator said in a press release. Golden Predator's flagship is the former Brewery Creek open pit and heap leach gold mine in the Yukon.
Golden Predator said the Yukon government is allowing the company to restart the mine without re-entering the permit process. According to recent estimates, Brewery Creek contains an Indicated Oxide Resource of 21.14 million tons grading 1.125 g / t gold or 765,000 ounces. Recent estimates suggest that it contains an additional 8.57 million tonnes of inferred sulphide resources grading 0.985 g / t gold or 270,000 ounces. 45 km from Dawson City, approximately 280,000 ounces of gold were produced from seven shallow oxide deposits along the Brewery Creek Reserve Trend between 1996 and 2002. The mine was temporarily closed in 2002 after the gold price fell below US $ 300 / oz.
Golden Predator is investing in Group 11 after a recent feasibility study aimed at resuming heap leach operations. Group 11 was founded and is owned by enCore Energy Corp. \[EU-TSXV; ENCUF-OTCQB\] and EnviroLeach Technologies Inc. \[ETI-CSE, EVLLF-OTCQB\], each of which owns 40% of the company. Golden Predator partnered with EnviroLeach to process sulfide concentrates with a test processing facility and a purpose-built mobile extraction unit on its Yukon properties, which include the 3 Aces Gold Project.
The 3 Aces gold project hosts an orogenic gold project and is located northeast of Watson Lake. "The cumulative tests showed a calculated total recovery of 93.17% of the gold in the concentrate," said Golden Predator. "This work eventually led to the combination of Golden Predator's mobile extraction unit, Energy's ISR expertise and EnviroLeach's technology in partnership within Group 11 to consider alternative precious metal extraction technologies," said Golden Predator.
