Curaleaf to open new dispensaries in New Jersey

N.J.'s largest medical marijuana company, Curaleaf, has announced a new pharmacy set to open in 2021. Curaleaf has announced that it will open its second New Jersey pharmacy in Bordentown Township early next year. The company currently operates a pharmacy and extension under the name Curaleaf NJ in Bellmawr and has 92 pharmacies in 23 states. The company's first satellite pharmacy opens on Route 130 North. Curaleaf will begin construction of its 9,000 square foot pharmacy this fall. Currently, licensed pharmacies can open up to two satellite locations in New Jersey with approval. The Garden State Dispensary and the Compassionate Care Foundation are currently the only two operators opening additional locations so far. The outpatient clinic is one of several to open in the coming months, including MPX NJ in Atlantic City, TerrAscend in Phillipsburg, and a second Harmony location in Hoboken. In New Jersey, the total number of ambulances will grow to 15. Over 85,000 patients are enrolled in the government's medical marijuana program. New Jersey voters will soon use the ballot to decide whether or not to legalize marijuana for those over the age of 21. About two-thirds of voters polled said they would likely vote yes to this issue on November 3rd.
