Amazon will hire up to 75,000 new employees
Due to strong demand the online giant is planning to expand its logistic centers.

Amazon.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) will hire 75,000 people in its transportation and fulfillment centers to meet growing customer demand. The company will recruit new employees for its locations in Wisconsin, Washington, Arizona, Georgia, Colorado, California, Maryland, Kentucky, New Jersey, Minnesota, Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Illinois. The e-commerce giant plans to hire multiple employees at its warehouses to serve customers during the pandemic. The company hired more than 400,000 workers as customer demand for products increased. With this new hiring orgy, the company now employs more than 1 million people. Amazon workers are paid an hourly wage of $ 17 and are also entitled to a $ 1,000 sign-up bonus. The company is also offering employees who have already been vaccinated a $ 100 incentive to protect themselves from the coronavirus. Walmart has more than 2 million employees on its list. Amazon ranks second with just over 1 million employees. Amazon plans to hire 10,000 new employees in the UK by the end of this year to keep up with growing online shopping. With the inauguration of four new warehouses and a parcel center, the workforce in the UK will increase to 55,000. Amazon dismissed the employees' allegations, saying it offers an initial $ 15 hourly wage as well as health benefits.
