Tesla has entered the Tequila industry
The Electric Car maker is now selling Tequila for 250 Dollar per bottle.

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) enters the alcohol market with the introduction of a Tesla tequila under the brand name Tesla Tequila made from cars and rockers.
The company launched the Tesla tequila on Thursday, delivering on Elon Musk's promise to offer its brand of spirits. The tequila will cost around $ 250 and will be offered in a lightning-shaped bottle from the Southern California liquor brand Nosotros Tequila. The bottle is etched with the Tesla, and according to the product description it is a "100% de agave Tequila Anejo, which has matured in French oak barrels and has a nose of dried fruits and light vanilla with a balanced cinnamon-pepper finish".
The range of tequila is sold out on the company's website, even if orders are limited to two bottles each and availability is given in certain countries. Originally the branding was Teslaquila, but that may have faded over time. The idea began on Fool's Day in April, and in 2018 Musk tweeted that Tesla was going bankrupt and was found passed out from a Tesla Model 3 with a "Teslaquilla" bottle on it. Later that year, the company registered a trademark for Teslaquila with the USPTO.
Like champagne, tequila is subject to strict designation of origin rules and must be produced in one of the five states of Mexico. It has to be made from blue agave, and the Californian company Nostros Tequila obtained it from Jalisco. In 2018, after tweeting the visual approximation, Tesla ran into trouble with Mexico's tequila regulator. The problem had to do with a patent application that was inconsistent with the rules for denotation of origin for tequila. This isn't the first time the company has deviated from manufacturing its core product.
Earlier this year, Tesla sold red mini gym shorts on its premises, which were given back to investors in a playful way, with each short selling for $ 69.42. In addition to Tesla, other luxury car brands have launched non-automotive products. For example, Porsche sells branded Huawei phones, BMW sells thermoses, while Ferrari sells earplugs for $ 55.
