Scratch to enhance Salesforce Platform
The company is planning to make the Salesforce platform more enjoyable.

Salesforce.com Inc. (NYSE: CRM) customer relationship management platform is hugely popular and currently claims nearly a fifth of the market in terms of revenue. From "too much data entry" and "clunky UI" and it can sometimes interrupt challenges for the user. However, one start-up, Scratchpad, raised $ 13 million to make Salesforce more enjoyable and to increase productivity by creating a modern workspace on the platform. Founded in 2019 in San Francisco, Scratchpad has developed a range of productivity tools that include notes, tasks, search, spreadsheets, collaboration, Kanban boards, and much more. Interestingly, the startup combines the tools in a user-friendly interface to enable direct interaction with workflows and sales data. The company was designed to make employees redundant so they can do what they do best, and it announced a $ 13 million Series A funding led by Craft Ventures. To date, Scratchpad has raised approximately $ 16.6 million, including a $ 3.6 million seed funding reported in October. Pouyan Salehi, the company's CEO and co-founder, said that while they weren't looking for additional capital, investors understood the company's vision and the capital would help accelerate the product roadmap. Pouyan said that most revenue teams tend to have highly educated and trained salespeople who spend almost half of their time on administrative tasks instead of selling. The good news is that Scratchpad reduces and almost eliminates administrative time, and that increases sales performance. He added that they developed the Scratchpad platform from multiple conversations with sales reps and built it based on their needs. Most importantly, the platform offers different views for pipeline management such as: Take, for example, the Grid View, which enables inline editing of Salesforce records, eliminating the need for spreadsheets. The company operates a software-as-a-service business model with tiers ranging from $ 39 per user team plan to the customizable business plan.
