Robinhood is facing a lawsuit in California

Bloomberg reports that a California man has sued the app-based trading platform in a planned class action lawsuit. This is after Robinhood was hacked last year. Around 2,000 accounts were hacked. The plaintiff, Siddharth Mehta, says he lost tens of thousands of dollars in his account in the attack. He claims Robinhood didn't do enough to protect customer accounts and the company didn't inform him of the intrusion until months later after it became known in media reports. "Robinhood's customers have collectively lost millions of dollars," Bloomberg quoted Mehta in the complaint.
