Platina Resources shifts focus on gold mining

Platina Resources (ASX: PGM) believes it can capitalize on investors' interest in gold. The company said today that it "quickly turned the business" and built a gold portfolio. In early June, the company entered into a conditional agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Challa Gold project in gold districts in Western Australia. "Now that the Challa properties have been approved, we look forward to commencing an on-site cost-effective RAB drilling program to identify primary goals. We are confident that we can quickly add great value with a relatively small investment, "the company wrote. Other projects in the company's portfolio include Owendale, a scandium deposit in New South Wales; Skaergaard, an undeveloped gold and palladium project; and Blue Moon in California, a zinc-copper-gold deposit.
