Oriole and IAMGOLD resume works at Senala

Oriole Resources (AIM: ORR) said Monday that its joint venture partner, IAMGOLD Corporation, will shortly resume its 10,000 meter air core drilling campaign at the Senala project in Senegal. Before the seasonal rains, IAMGOLD had already completed 1,300m of AC drilling on the northernmost Faré prospect and will resume its program there later this month.

"As we have seen in recent drilling on other licenses in the Senala area, long intercepts well in excess of 2 g / t Au can quickly build the volumes required for stand-alone minable resources," said Tim Livesey, CEO of Oriole.

"As a potential stand-alone resource target with a mineralized strike length of more than six kilometers, Faré adds significant value to the Senala license, confirming its importance to Oriole.
