Nvidias new chip generation could mean a quantum leap forward

Nvidia Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) announced its GeForce RTX 30-series graphics processor, powered by the NVIDIA Ampere architecture and offering the best generation leap in GeForce history. The GeForce 3070, 3080 and 3090 graphics processors surpass the functionality records and offer up to twice as many functions and a 1.9 times higher current efficiency compared to the previous Turing-based group. The GPUs use the second group of NVIDIA RTX, the world's leading computer game podium, to offer a unique level of actual radiation detection and artificial intelligence gaming. The RTX 30 series was released during a digital debut by Jensen Huang, CEO and founder of NVIDIA. He also reported that the popular culture gaming spectacle Fortnite is switching to RTX real-time ray tracing, offering more ray-traced qualities for an even more immersive gaming experience, including ambient shading, shadows, reflections and worldwide lighting. Jensen also unveiled powerful new software for games like NVIDIA Reflex, Omniverse Machinima, and Broadcast. The NVIDIA Reflex makes competitive games faster. Omniverse Machinima is for storytelling games with real PC graphics engines, and Broadcast uses artificial intelligence to turn any room into an in-house broadcast studio. Jensen Huang said the introduction of the NVIDIA Ampere GPUs is a huge leap forward. The work of hundreds of years of engineering, the GeForce RTX 30 series, represents its biggest generation leap to date. NVIDIA RTX merges virtual intelligence, ray tracing and shading into completely new worlds for designers. For the years to come, we will think about and realize that the future of games has started today. The standout features of the latest NVIDIA Ampere architecture and RTX 30 series graphics processors are radical technical advancements and more than 10 years of research and development, including graphics: Updated streaming processors which are the evolving foundation of the fastest and most effective graphics processor in the world, with double the FP32 amount from the previous version and 30-30 shader TFLOPS of performance. Second generation RT cores, which are new and offer twice the performance of the previous generation, plus parallel ray tracing, shading and computing with 58 RT-TFLOPS performance.
