The London Stock Exchange is finally listing cannabis stocks too
For the beginning, the English leave it with medical cannabis.

Medical marijuana stocks are about to get a new home on the London Stock Exchange as medical marijuana companies have been approved by UK financial regulators. While this is great news for the marijuana movement, companies that still sell marijuana to recreational users will continue to be excluded from the stock market. The Financial Conduct Authority said companies that grow and sell recreational cannabis, even in countries like Canada where it's legal to do so, cannot be on the list due to the Proceeds of Crime Act in London. The income from the sale of cannabis and cannabis oil outside the UK could constitute "criminal property" under the law as it covers conduct abroad that would constitute a crime if it were done in the UK. "For medical cannabis and cannabis oil companies that operate overseas, the company must convince us that their activities would be legal if conducted in the UK," said the FCA. "We also need to understand the legal basis of the company's overseas operations, such as the type of local licensing and the licenses the company holds. Roby Zomer, Co-Founder and General Manager of pharmaceuticals company MGC, commented, "MGC started looking for a list in the London markets over a year ago. During that time we have struggled with the pace of the process but have continued to move towards the goal to become one of the first UK listed medical cannabis companies ". "In light of today's news, we will renew our listing ambitions for the company, which will support its future growth and provide investors with an opportunity to gain access to a significant and growing opportunity. Nick Davis, General Manager of Memery Crystal Law Firm, commented, "This is great and long overdue news for the medical cannabis sector in the UK, both for the medical cannabis companies themselves and for the patients who are not yet getting easy access to the products they need to have. "Our company and a number of our customers have worked hard over the past few years to get medical cannabis companies approved in the London markets. With greater clarity from the FCA, we hope that investors will also support companies entering the market to advance the sector ".
