Is Military Metals Unlocking Europe’s Next Major Antimony Discovery?
Military Metals ignites a new chapter in Europe’s critical minerals race as drilling begins at Slovakia’s historic Trojarová Antimony Gold Project, led by CEO Scott Eldridge and VP Exploration David Murray.
Military Metals Corp. (CSE: MILI) (OTCQB: MILIF) (FSE: QN90) has kicked off an ambitious new phase of exploration at its 100% owned Trojarová Antimony Gold Project in Slovakia, marking a decisive step toward unlocking one of Europe’s most strategically important critical-mineral deposits. The company announced the start of a 10-hole, 2500-meter diamond drilling campaign aimed at verifying historical data and defining the resource that could play a vital role in the European Union’s push for domestic antimony supply security.
A Defining Moment for Military Metals
CEO Scott Eldridge described the commencement of drilling as a “milestone achievement” in the company’s growth trajectory. The program’s results are expected to underpin an updated mineral resource estimate by SLR Consulting early in 2026, forming the foundation for future development. Eldridge’s remarks reflect growing optimism within the company’s leadership, not just about confirming what previous Soviet-era geologists uncovered, but also about expanding the deposit’s footprint and relevance in Europe’s rapidly tightening critical minerals landscape.
The Trojarová project, positioned in western Slovakia, is more than an exploration story, it’s a potential cornerstone in Europe’s efforts to reduce dependence on China for antimony, a metal essential for semiconductors, defense applications, and energy storage technologies.
The Drilling Program
The new campaign comprises up to 10 diamond drillholes totaling approximately 2500 meters. Seven holes are designed to confirm the historical drilling data, which dates back to the 1980s and 1990s, while three holes will test for northwest strike continuity, potentially expanding the known limits of mineralization. Preliminary models suggest the deposit thickens and increases in antimony grade toward the northwest, a finding that, if confirmed, could materially enhance the project’s size and economic potential.
The campaign represents the next stage in SLR Consulting’s ongoing mineral resource estimate—a modern reinterpretation of Slovakia’s historical geological work. The field team will aim to correlate historical core data with newly drilled results, paving the way for a fully NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate.
