Ada Health and Novartis sign cooperation agreement

Novartis AG (NYSE: NVS) has signed an agreement with Ada Health to expand its online immunological disease tracking offering. Many patients search for their symptoms online to help identify the disease. But diagnosis by multiple specialists is a necessity in order to find the exact cause and disease in order to recommend treatment. The deal with Ada Health helps patients benefit from the AI algorithms and differentiate the diseases. Ada Health's AI algorithms include a clinical data store to reconcile careless user states. Ada's software also collects data from patients by asking questions and allowing disease differentiation. Surveys do not provide a clinical diagnosis. However, you can help identify your symptoms from a list of diseases and find out more details about these diseases and make an appointment with a specialist nearby. Ada's rating system maintains the confidentiality of your clinical data. Novartis will use Ada Health's AI-based surveys to accelerate the diagnosis of axSpA (axial spondyloarthritis), Mediterranean fever and psoriatic arthritis. Chronic inflammatory form of arthritis - axSpA affects joints in the pelvis and spine. AxSpA mostly affects people in their mid-twenties. According to Ada, symptoms are often mistaken for other chronic pain conditions, delaying diagnosis by up to five years. Novartis will invite patients to its axSpA awareness site to assess their condition and minimize treatment delays. Ada has already trained his AI model to differentiate between axSpA-related symptoms and other health conditions. Novartis will combine Ada's AI model in multiple languages with its disease awareness sites around the world. Vanessa Lemarié, SVP (Life Sciences and Rare Diseases) at Ada Health, said that using the AI model, users can assess their health status and make an informed decision to get the right treatment. Novartis reported sales of $ 12.4 billion in the first quarter of 2021. The background is a volume increase of 3% and a price decrease of 2%. New drug sales contributed $ 10.1 billion to total sales. The main growth drivers in Q1 2021 are Cosentyx, Entresto and Zolgensma.
